Let’s face it we haven’t heard that much about Madonna recently so when she appeared on the Brits last Wednesday she was probably hoping to raise her profile a little! Well, I think we can say with all certainty that she definitely did that!
Isn’t it crazy how something so silly can turn into a massive internet craze, so much so, that people are talking about it everywhere? All it took was for someone to tie her cape up a little too tight and now everyone around the world is talking about it.
It is a difficult task trying to get your business known about out there, and it’s great if you get a helping hand. I bet the designer of the ‘blue & black / white & gold’ dress never thought Kim Kardashian would cause it to be seen around the world in a matter of hours.
Marketing is such a huge part of running your own business, and sadly the majority can’t rely on something of this magnitude happening to them. However, it just goes to show that the world of marketing has changed; the internet is the place to be without a doubt, if you want people to talk about you.
In an interview Madonna was saying she was mortified and was thinking of the terrible press her performance would receive but, that terrible press has plunged her into the limelight’ once again. Madonna obviously didn’t want to fall and she will be seeing that clip played over and over again for the rest of her life; but, anyone who hadn’t heard of her before certainly has now, they have seen the clip and heard her song. Is there such a thing as bad press?
